Chevron House Socks

Cozy house socks, that are also fun and easy to make. Have fun!
Materials
- 3 colors of worsted weight yarn (100 grams of the main color and 50 grams each for the other 2 colors). This is enough for a shoe size 8/8,5, if you want to go bigger you need an extra skein of the main color.
- H/8 or 5 mm hook
- a pair of scissors
- a tapestry needle

Notes
- This pattern is written in US terms.
- Chains at the beginning of a round doesn’t count as a stitch.
Pattern
Begin with your main color, we name it color 1. Start with a magic ring or ch 4 and sl st in the first ch to make a circle.
Round 1: ch2 (this doesn’t count as a stitch, Make 10 hdc in the ring. Sl st in the first hdc to close the round. Pull the tail end to close the ring. (10)
Round 2: ch 2, make 2 hdc in each hdc, sl st in the first hdc. (20)
Round 3: ch 2, * hdc in the first 3 hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc*, repeat between the * until the end of the round. Sl st in the first hdc. (25)
Round 4: ch 2, * hdc in the first 4 hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc *, repeat between the * until the end of the round. Sl st in the first hdc. (30)
Round 5: ch 1, hdc in each hdc until the end of the round. Sl st in the first hdc (30)
Round 6-20: repeat round 5
The toe and middle of our sock is done, we now move on to the heel.
Row 21-27: ch 1, turn your work, hdc in the next 20 hdc

The whole foot of our sock is done, we only need to close the back of the heel but that will be our last step. We first make the upper part of the sock.

Fold your sock so that the first and last stitch of your row are on top of each other.
Sl st in your first hdc of the row to create a round.
We are now going to work at the top of the sock.
Round 28: ch 1, make a hdc in each row and in each stitch. Sl st in the first hdc. You need a total of 30 hdc.
Round 29: Repeat round 28
Change color to one of your choice, we name it color 2.
Round 30: ch 1, * sl st in the first hdc, sc in the next hdc, hdc in the next, 3 dc in the next hdc (all in the same stitch), hdc in the next hdc, sc in the next *. Repeat between the * until the end of the round. Sl st in the first stitch.
Change color to color 1.
Round 31: ch 1, sc in each of the next 3 stitches, 3 sc in the middle tc, sc in the next 2 stitches, sc3tog, * sc in the next 2 stitches, 3 sc in the middle tc, sc in the next 2 stitches, sc3tog *. Repeat between the * until the end. Sl st in the first sc. Turn your work.
Round 32: Repeat round 31
Change color in a third color, we name it color 3.
Round 33: We make a dc3tog, therefore yarn over, insert your hook in the stitch before the first stitch (the last from the previous round), yarn over, pull through, yarn over pull through 2, the last two loops remain on your hook, yarn over, insert your hook in the first stitch and repeat the steps, now you have 3 loops on your hook. We repeat this one more time in the next stitch, you have 4 loops on your hook, yarn over and pull through all 4 loops. Hdc in the next stitch, sc in the next, sl st in the next, sc in the next, hdc in the next, * dc3tog (these 3 are the one before the 3sc together stitch, the 3sc together stitch itself and the sc after it), hdc, sc, sl st, sc, hdc * repeat between the * until the end. Sl st in the first stitch.

Change color to color 1
Round 34: ch 1, sc in each stitch around. Sl st in the first stitch.
Round 35: repeat round 34.
Change color to color 2.
Round 36: repeat round 30
Change color to color 1
Round 37-38: repeat round 31
Change color to color 3
Round 39: repeat round 33
Change color to color 1
Round 40-41: repeat round 34
Finish off and weave in your ends.
The last step is to close the back of the heel. Turn your sock inside out, attach color 1 to the bottom of the hole. We are closing the hole with slip stitches. Insert your hook in the first stitch and in the stitch straight across, sl st them together, repeat this 9 more times. Finish off, and weave in the end.
