Here I teach you how to make a double crochet foundation chain. It isn’t hard at all. Just follow the instructions!

1.Start with a slip knot

2. Chain 4

3. Yarn over and insert your hook in the first chain

4. yarn over and pull up a loop, you have three loops on your hook

5. Yarn over and pull through one loop. You’ve made the first chain stitch. Put a stitchmarker in this stitch.

6. Yarn over and pull through two loops. You have two loops on your hook

7. Yarn over and pull through the last two loops on the hook. You finished your stitch.

8. Let’s do that again. Yarn over and insert your hook in the stitch with the stitchmarker.

9. Yarn over, pull up a loop. You have three loops on your hook.

10. Yarn over , pull through one loop. You’ve made your second chain stitch. Remove the stitchmarker and place it in this stitch.

11. Yarn over, pull through two loops. Yarn over and pull through the last two loops on your hook.

12. Repeat steps 8-11 until you have the right number of stitches.
